Marked on the reverse "CP 42". Dimensions: H. 19 cm. France, late 18th century. A beautiful example of small, classicizing candlesticks from the end of the Ancien Régime. The mark on the underside is similar to the methods used by the Garde-Meuble Royal (Royal Furniture Repository), which engraved or stamped the bronze items of the Crown. Condition report: signs of wear, no candle cups.
