Small bergamot wood box in the shape of a trunk. Decorated in Martin varnish depicting a cupid with a heart and the motto "Je vous adore" (I adore you). Very good overall condition, no wear to the decoration. Note three small chips in the corners of the lid from opening and closing it (see photos). 18th century, Louis XVI period.
