A Castle-sized Table In Flamed Mahogany, 5 Meters Long
A solid flamed mahogany table. Oblong in shape, 155 cm wide, resting on eight tapered legs ending in bronze sabots and casters. The elegant apron is inlaid with a lower row of brass molding that extends onto the extension leaves. The table opens in the center to accommodate seven extension leaves, extending its length to 5 meters. A truly magnificent piece. A Directoire period table, late 18th century. The extension leaves are later additions. Length when open: 500 cm; Length: 131 cm; Width: 155 cm; Height: 74.5 cm
