Important and antique Shiraz carpet, Iran, circa 1960, Shah period, wool pile on a wool foundation. Brick-red field decorated with rows of bulbs surrounded by stylized, geometrically lace-like foliage and adorned with three hexagonal medallions. Four midnight-blue spandrels with motifs echoing the central field. Five borders, the main one ivory with garlands of flowers. High Shah period of Iran. In good condition.
