Three Charmingly Old-fashioned, Vintage Lady's Boxes...
Typical gifts from the 1955-1960 period. Perfumers and other manufacturers of decorative objects created gift sets for the holiday season… Charming bygone days that delighted elegant young ladies. They evoked lapis lazuli or precious wood burl, or sometimes the guilloché pattern known as Geneva guilloché. The sets contained a lipstick holder, a powder compact, a cigarette case, and either a pocket ashtray or a pillbox. The KIGU of London brand specialized in them. These vintage boxes are in mint condition, now rare and highly collectible.
