"Edouard Traviès's Winter And Summer Teal"
Pair of original color lithographs on wove paper depicting a teal in winter and summer, plates from the series "La Vènerie, Souvenirs de Chasse" (Hunting, Souvenirs of the Hunt). Framed under glass with an antique frame. Edouard Traviès de Villers (March 25, 1809 – 1876) began his career with his brother Charles Joseph as a caricaturist. He specialized in watercolor painting of birds and insects and exhibited regularly at the Salon between 1831 and 1866. He produced numerous lithographs.
