Framed under glass with an antique frame. Edouard Traviès de Villers (March 25, 1809 – 1876) began his career with his brother Charles Joseph as a caricaturist. He specialized in watercolor painting of birds and insects and exhibited regularly at the Salon between 1831 and 1866. He produced numerous lithographs.
