"Great Seal Of The Imperial Customs With A Commission Of Employment From The Same Period 1805 "
IN VERY GOOD CONDITION HEIGHT 9 CM, SEAL 31 MM X 28 MM, IN BRONZE. The seal is simple: "The Imperial Eagle on lightning bolts, surmounted by the radiant eye of vigilance for the ideals of equality, justice, and activity, and Imperial Customs." For the rather rare employment commission, it is in the name of Pascal Bordes, a native of Argut in Haute-Garonne, for a position as clerk in the Bayonne office. The oath was taken as prescribed by law on 24 Brumaire, Year XIV (1805). The commission has four pages, two of which are written on watermarked paper, 31 cm x 21 cm. A rather rare piece from the grandeur of our First Empire. Collection. PERSONAL
