A substantial 140-piece silver-plated flatware set in the Louis XVI style, featuring crossed ribbons and acanthus leaves. Partially in its original case (see below). First half of the 20th century. Maker's mark to be identified. This flatware set comprises 140 pieces. In a two-tiered case: 12 forks, 12 soup spoons, 12 teaspoons, 1 ladle, 12 dinner knives, 12 cheese or dessert knives, 2 salad servers. Without the case: 12 fish forks, 12 fish knives, 2 fish serving sets, 12 oyster forks, 11 escargot forks, 12 mocha spoons, 12 cake forks, 2 large serving sets, 1 cream ladle, 1 serving ladle. Note: This flatware set is in good to very good overall condition. One escargot fork is missing. The handles of the flatware are slightly more matte than the handles. There are a few stains on the case. Signs of wear and tear consistent with age and use. Cleaning could be improved. Please examine the photos carefully. Additional photos are available upon request.
