Artistic Vase By Etienne Vilotte For Ciboure
We present this superb vase by Etienne Vilotte for the Ciboure factory, dating from the 1930s/40s, decorated with Neo-Greek antelopes. Etienne Vilotte (1881-1957) was initially a cabinetmaker before becoming a potter. He was a co-founder of the renowned Ciboure pottery near Saint-Luz on the Basque coast. Karl Lagerfeld, the famous fashion designer, was a great collector of these vases inspired by antiquity. Our vase is in perfect condition, with only a slight deformation at the neck, a minor flaw that occurred during firing. Shipping extra (€25).
