The base is painted in antique green.
Period: first half or middle of the 20th century.
This portrait of a child replicates the composition of the white marble bust that has been part of the Louvre's collections since the mid-19th century.
It is attributed to one of the most celebrated sculptors of the French Renaissance, Germain Pilon (born in 1525 or 1535 - died in 1590).
It is in good condition, no chips or cracks, sold as found.
