A beautiful plate with a curved rim. The border imitates wickerwork and the basin is painted with polychrome bouquets.

Following the creation in 1725 of a factory that coated biscuits with a tin glaze, many different products were marketed. It was not until 1735 that Ciquaire-Cirou found a way to cover its soft-paste biscuits with a lead glaze. The paste was white or greenish-white and not very thick until 1780, after which it seems to have thickened to a yellowish-white colour. In addition to large services such as the one at Villers Cotterêts, we know of a quality production: elegant twigs, marli of plates imitating basketwork, etc.
