Original graphite drawing on paper, 65 x 50 cm. Stamp of the Raoul Dufy Studio lower right. Scene of Old Nice. Raoul Dufy discovered Nice in 1926, in his fifties. He returned there for the next two years with his wife, and again after the war. In this city of sun, sea, and mountains, he painted several of his masterpieces, such as "The Open Window in Nice," "The Bay of Angels," and the old Belle Époque casino. Madame Fanny Guillon-Lafaille has confirmed the authenticity of this work.
