"The Cats' Meal" oil on oak panel. Signed lower left. E. Paillet (1859/1925) student of Géromé, he settled permanently in Marseille in 1891. A genre painter, and more particularly of cats, he skillfully masters the composition of the painting, managing to individualize each cat despite their eagerness to eat.
