The frame features fluted columns terminating in gilt capitals, and a carved upper frieze. The corners are adorned with small decorative details. The mercury glass, slightly pitted, is original. The original wooden backing is unreplaced. An elegant and authentic mirror, illustrating the transition between Louis XVI and Directoire, combining neoclassical restraint with delicate refinement.
