This elegant polychrome ceramic sculpture was produced by Robj, a renowned Parisian company of the 1920s, specializing in modern and stylized decorative objects. The piece depicts a bagpiper, rendered in a clean, geometric style typical of Art Deco: a smooth face with closed eyes, a long coat with large red checks, and a vibrant palette of white, black, yellow, and ochre. The musician's posture, holding his bagpipes close to his body, lends the piece a graphic presence.
