Rare collector's item: A spherical tripod inkwell with three ball feet, decorated with pebbles and featuring an applied rose gold monogrammed cartouche.
Made of solid silver with the maker's mark CM and double Minerva hallmarks under the base.
The lid needs resoldering, and part of the rim of the inner inkwell is missing.
Period: Late 19th century.
