"Guardian Angel With A Candle"
Salmon-colored molded glass dating from the 1930s. The translucent glass plays with light, varying in thickness from a single lumen to a single lumen, allowing more or less brilliance to pass through. This interplay is magnificent. Daum made this a specialty with its pâte de verre pieces. The angel watches over its charge with benevolence. It holds a branch in one hand and rests the other on its charge's head. The photos will speak louder than words can.
