"Second Empire Horizontal Gilt Bronze Photo Frame "
Here is a Napoleon III period frame that is unusual in its Italian format, meaning it's horizontal. This was quite uncommon at the time, as most photo frames were vertical for portrait photos. It's in the Louis XVI style, with its gadrooned molding and crossed ribbons, topped by a ribbon bow. It has its protective glass and can be displayed on a surface or hung on the wall. The photo measures 11 x 20 cm.
