Small Art Nouveau Parrot-decorated Display Shelf
This Art Nouveau display shelf, in the naturalist style, dates from around 1900. Made of stained beechwood and covered with embossed brass depicting a parrot surrounded by vegetation, its triangular shape is quite original. The edges are covered with applied tin strips studded with hammered gilt nails, a very fine and charming example of folk art. The shelf is 9.5 cm deep.
