Set Of Ten Silver Knives
We present this set of ten silver knives, hallmarked with the Minerva mark and the silversmith's name engraved on the blade - LAVALLEE, silversmith, Boulevard de Strasbourg. The blades and handles are silver, for a total weight of 444 grams. The handles are silver-filled, meaning the part of the blade that fits into the handle is typically made of metal (iron), and to seal the two together, there is always a hardening compound inside, similar to a type of cement. Therefore, we estimate the actual weight of silver to be 380 grams. Good condition overall, however, one blade is missing a tooth. (A replacement would cost around €1000-€1100.) Shipping extra (€25).
