"Longwy Large Deep Platter, "birds Of Our" Signed By P. Mignon, Art Workshop, Limited Edition"
Large, deep dish or bowl in polychrome and gilded enamels from Longwy, created by Paul Mignon at the Atelier d'Art, in a limited edition of 11 out of 50, as inscribed on the back of the piece, on the stamp designed in 1949 to which the words "made in France" were added in 1957. This dish depicts two birds in flight, cranes, amidst vegetation, in a Japanese style. The enamels are enhanced with fine gold by Justin Masson. (Inscription on the back of the piece) M.P. Chevallier and then Paul Mignon succeeded one another at the Atelier d'Art to design and produce unique pieces or limited editions, including this beautiful "golden birds" dish. This large dish is in perfect condition.
