It also bears the name of the owner stamped in gold: Mr. GIVAUDAN DMP.
It contains several instruments:
Silver and silver-plated probes.
Scissors with silver handles (tested with a touchstone) and steel blades.
Silver needle instrument with a flat head and forked tip.
Double instrument: curette and hook forceps (opening stuck).
Two folding scalpels with locking mechanisms, made of tortoiseshell and steel, marked GALANTE.
Note:
Nibbles on the tortoiseshell parts of the scalpels. One silver handle of the scissors is broken and glued. This prestigious set must have been given to a wealthy practitioner, highly regarded by his patients!
