"Rare Floor Lamp By Neal Small, Usa 1966"
A superb and rare sculptural floor lamp created by American designer Neal Small in the 1960s, made entirely of white acrylic. The piece consists of two acrylic panels, each with a half-globe from which the light emanates. The panels are joined by four chrome screws. When lit, the lamp emits a warm, diffused light that highlights its fluid geometry, inspired by the space age—an iconic aesthetic signature of Small's work. This piece, along with three others designed by Small, is in the collection of MoMA. In excellent condition, with only a few minor scratches on the base, the wiring has been updated.
Small has been named the Prince of Plastic by the New-York Times.
