Extremely rare 18th-century solid silver bowl from the Papal City of Avignon (then independent of the Kingdom of France). Monogram in the center. Hallmarked for AVIGNON c.1760 and hallmarks repeated twice, probably by the silversmith Joseph Bruno VINAY (it can also be attributed to the silversmith VILHET, with the same initials). This extremely rare 18th-century Avignon bowl is in very good condition with a beautiful patina and minor scratches. See the attached photos for details... Dimensions: 26.5 x 26.5 cm.
