Sumptuous Napoleon III period oyster service in solid silver, Gordian Knot pattern. The service comprises six forks with spatulas engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a baron's coronet. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st Standard mark (.950) and the hallmarks of the silversmith BOYER-CALLOT (hallmark with the initials "BC" and a chalice surmounted by a crown), registered in 1865.
