Beautiful 14th-century leather box with a wooden core. The lid is slightly domed; the interior has three compartments lined with bookbinding paper, designed to hold writing materials such as paper, a pen, an inkwell, sealing wax, etc. It is in very good overall condition, both inside and out, with all its original wrought iron fittings (handle, hinges, hasp lock - no key). A small travel inkwell, a pen, and four 17th/18th-century handwritten documents are included to complete the set. Note: Shipping within France via Colissimo tracked service is available for €20.
