A discreet artist, Marcelle Grasset can be associated with the Second School of Paris. She exhibited in 1965 at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants. On this occasion, the City of Paris purchased two ink drawings from her, which entered the collection of the Musée d'Art Moderne.
The work presented here offers an abstract landscape with an aquatic theme, where a rich palette and a great energy of movement intertwine.
