Louis XVI Period Armchair Stamped Pillot.
A neoclassical armchair with a straight back, resting on four tapered legs with wide, fluted edges. Stamped PILLOT twice under the rear rail. Trained by Nicolas Foliot and then apprenticed to Mathieu Bauve, Pillot settled in Nîmes in 1776. The lacquered wood seat is in very good condition.
