"Majorelle Louis – Tall Display Cabinet With Four Glass Sides"
MAJORELLE Louis – Tall four-sided glass display cabinet, France, circa 1900. An elegant, small, rectangular display cabinet, entirely glazed on all four sides. It rests on a molded base with rounded corners and features a structure of exotic wood – possibly rosewood or amaranth – with a dense and contrasting grain. The column is punctuated by fine vertical moldings, typical of Louis Majorelle's creations. The interior has three glass shelves. The solid lower section opens with a door to reveal a concealed storage compartment. Signed on the right side, with an elephant stamp in a semicircular medallion: "Majorelle Nancy".
