"Rare Series Of Views Of The Nantes Port – 18th Century"

A rare Cuban mahogany sideboard from the Port Nantaise region, with a wooden top featuring a three-fold repeating motif and a molded profile. It opens with four doors adorned with recessed Nantaise-style moldings, divided into three sections: left, central, and right. The two left and right doors open to reveal an interior drawer and a shelf, while the two central doors open to reveal a shelf, each resting on fixed supports. All doors lock with their original locks. The sides are also recessed and molded, like the doors. The lower rails are carved and molded, and the legs terminate in scroll feet. The back, which is oak (like the interior), is reinforced with a fifth, central, straight leg. Period: 18th century.
