"Engraved Tulip-shaped Cup, Silver, Paris, 1754"
A silver tulip cup, resting on a molded ovolo foot, the body engraved on a matte ground in two registers separated by a band. The coat of arms has been replaced by a monogram; the cartouche remains. Paris, 1754-1755. Master silversmith Antoine Plot was admitted to the guild in Paris on June 4, 1729, and died on September 15, 1772. Weight: 146g - Height: 9.4 cm - Diameter: 8.4 cm. Condition: Good, with a beautiful original patina; it is well hallmarked and the engraving is fine.
