SUPERB AND VERY RARE 19TH CENTURY JAR/DISH SET IN FINE YELLOW FAIENCE, INCISED SIGNATURE MONTEREAU, WORKSHOP AND PERIOD OF L. LEBEUF AND THIBAULT. MAGNIFICENT HUNTING SCENE. BEAUTIFUL BLACK GRISAILLE ON BRIGHT YELLOW PASTE... SUPERB. ON THE JAR "HUNTERS' MEETING" IN THE DISH, A HUNTING SCENE WITH DOGS, HORSE, BOAR, ETC... BEAUTIFUL ENGRAVINGS OF FLOWERS AND FOLIAGE. JAR IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. The hunting scene is superb. The bowl is in good condition. There is some wear on the hunting decoration and some restored chips on the bottom.
