"Chassepot Rifle Model 1866 "navy And Marine Troops""
Chassepot rifle stamped with a marine anchor in the stock and on the butt plate (partially visible), engraved "Manufacture nationale de St Etienne mle 1866" and dated 1870 on the barrel, walnut stock (markings worn away), original leather sling, functional weapon in good condition, traces of grease on the weapon but a beautiful patina (needs cleaning).
