The beautiful Antique Gilded Mirror with Crest presented here, dating from the mid-19th century, is richly decorated with scrolls,
flowers, and, in the central pediment, two putti (cherubs) reclining symmetrically on either side of an ornamental
vase from which leaves and flowers emerge in rocaille style.
It features its original and authentic antique glass, slightly imperfect due to age-related wear. The mirror shows signs of oxidation
and small black spots, typical of old silvered glass, confirming its authenticity and age.
The frame of the antique mirror retains its original gilding of excellent quality, made with 23.75-carat gold leaf, giving it an
elegant and precious appearance. Original 19th-century gilding. French provenance. Louis-Philippe era (circa 1830–1850).
This is a mid-19th century mirror, carefully and professionally restored, ready to be displayed in your home.
Both the mirror—showing slight imperfections due to age—and the back panel are authentic and original to the period.
