Heizler was the son of the sculptor Clément-Bernard-Hippolyte and his wife Julie Lecourt. A pupil of Lequien, he made his debut at the Salon des Refusés in 1846 and was awarded the "honorary" medal in 1852. He collaborated on the decoration of the Louvre, the Tuileries Palace, and the Paris Opera [3]. As early as 1846, he opened his own studio at 182 rue de Charonne in Paris [4]. In 1868, his studio was located at 56 rue Oberkampf [ 5 ]. During the siege of Paris in 1870, he contracted acute bronchitis and died from its consequences on [date missing].20 October 1871[
