Superb Boulle marquetry wall clock combining tortoiseshell and engraved brass, adorned with rich chased and gilded bronze mounts. The pediment is surmounted by a winged angel sounding a trumpet. The enamel dial indicates the hours in Roman numerals on a white background, with openwork hands. The lower facade features a bas-relief depicting female allegories. The movement is signed: Stamp: "Bronze Medal, S. Marti & Cie" Engraving: "M. Gieroud ??? – C.3930 21" Dimensions: Height: 92 cm Width: 53 cm Depth: 24.5 cm Condition: Some tortoiseshell and brass missing. One tortoiseshell plate needs reattaching. Some repairs are needed. Comes with 2 keys (movement + glass door).
