Half-moon Console Table? Gilded Wood, Louis XVI Period
A half-moon shaped console table in carved and gilded wood, with an openwork apron and garlands of flowers resting on two tapered front legs (restored to the gilding). The rear stretcher has been replaced, and the top is later veined marble. A Louis XVI period piece from the late 18th century with 19th-century repairs, nevertheless an elegant small model.
