Makila Anciart Bergara Larressore Cane, Meilleur Ouvrier De France (best Craftsman Of France).
Artist: Anciart Bergara Larressore
Makila made by a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France), in the usual configuration for this type of walking stick with a slightly twisted wooden shaft decorated with natural climbing garlands. The handle is covered in braided leather with a ring in the middle, ending in a spherical section with a brass ferrule bearing the following markings: "nere laguna eta laguntza 1971" (my partner and my support).
The handle unscrews to reveal a metal tip with a long, decorated brass ring. The ferrule is also classic, made of brass with stylized decoration. It bears the following marking: "Anciart Begara Larressore meilleur ouvrier de France" (Anciart Begara Larressore, Best Craftsman of France). The metal ferrule is of classic shape for a Makila.
Good overall condition; I note the wrist strap. Length 91.5 cm.
