An elegant and decorative pair of Louis XV-style girandoles in gilt bronze, retaining their original gilding and featuring three candle arms adorned with "Grand Siècle" wax candles. The girandoles rest on a substantial gilt bronze base. They are beautifully embellished with cut-crystal elements, including large crystals, half-pears, and floral motifs, with the upper section crowned by a cut-crystal dagger finial.

History of Maison Baguès:

Founded in 1840 by Noël Baguès, Maison Baguès is a French company specializing in the creation of luxury lighting. Originally focused on liturgical bronzes, the company expanded into bronze lighting fixtures with the advent of electricity under Eugène Baguès. Over the decades, the firm enriched its collections with wrought iron creations and designs inspired by historical models, particularly through the contributions of Victor and Robert Baguès.

Renowned for its artisanal craftsmanship, Maison Baguès employs traditional techniques such as chasing, wrought ironwork, gold leaf gilding, and crystal setting. Its creations adorn prestigious locations worldwide, and the brand has collaborated with renowned decorators and architects. In 1995, it established its showroom and workshop at the Viaduc des Arts in Paris, continuing its legacy of craftsmanship.

Today, Maison Baguès reissues its iconic models while innovating with contemporary designs, maintaining its position as one of France’s last art lighting manufacturers.
