Jean-Louis DE MARNE, an artist born in Belgium (1752-1829), sometimes spelled Demarne or Demarnette, was a French genre painter and engraver. He drew inspiration from contemporaries such as Nicolas Antoine Taunay and Jean-Frederic Schall, Dutch painters fashionable in Paris.
