"Nello Levy - Wall Ceramics"
Ceramic from the 1950s-60s by Nello Levy. Period frame. Nello Levy (1921-1992), born in Viareggio, Italy, was an Italian-Tunisian painter and ceramicist who lived in France. Son of the artist Moses Levy, he grew up between Italy and Tunisia before settling in Créteil in the 1960s. His work, poised between figuration and abstraction, is distinguished by the use of simple materials (sand, fabric, paper) and a poetic exploration of light and color. A humanist artist, he left behind a body of work marked by the fusion of Mediterranean cultures.
