The panoramic monodioscope viewer is an early optical device, appearing at the end of the 19th century, that allowed the viewing of panoramic images. The monodioscope was patented in 1890 by Jules Richard, a French engineer and manufacturer of scientific instruments. Four 6x13 cm panoramic glass plates are included with the viewer.
