"Oval Ceramic Tray With Floral Decoration, Second Half Of The 1700s"
Oval ceramic tray with floral decoration, second half of the 1700s, with a shaped edge and burnt Siena border. This majolica plate has a polychrome decoration with a central floral motif in shades of green, yellow, red, and blue, framed by bouquets of small flowers alternating with groups of smaller leaves along the edge. The simplicity of the decoration and the naturalistic feel make this small tray particularly pleasing. It is in good condition considering its age. It comes from northern Italy.
