"Sword Cane. Nineteenth Century."
Beautiful sword cane. Steel. Brass. Ebony. Beech. Beautiful sword cane. Its blade, with its lovely blued decoration, may predate the rest of the cane. The blade and handle are joined by an engraved brass ferrule; the mechanism for releasing the sheath is perfectly functional; the ferrule, which is missing, has been replaced by a simple copper ring. Napoleon III period. Second half of the nineteenth century.
