Pastel Circa 1780, Young Woman With Letter, In Mirror, Louis XVI Period.

A fine pastel portrait from the 18th century, circa 1780, of a young woman in domestic dress, seated on a chair with a cane back. Her face is turned to the right, and opposite her, on the dressing table, is a scalloped mirror whose movement is clearly visible. The pastel is in very good condition. It is also shown under glass in a more recent (early 19th century) frame with floral compositions, in excellent condition.
