Fauna. Bronze Bust. Germaine Oury-desruelles.

A very fine bronze bust of a faun, cast using the lost-wax technique with a nuanced green patina. By Germaine Oury-Desruelles (1889-1978), circa 1920-1930. Signed with the Susse foundry mark. Sea-green marble base. Total height 38 cm. Some of her works are exhibited at the Musée des Années 30 in Boulogne-Billancourt and at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Valenciennes. She exhibited a statue of Abraham Bloch at the 1934 Salon des Artistes Français, which won a gold medal.
