"Silver Diadem Comb"
Hair diadem and comb, early 19th century. The comb is silver. The headband is gilt copper or brass decorated with flowers and foliage. A crab hallmark is visible; two others are illegible. It measures approximately 17.5 cm from side to side and 9.8 cm high. In used condition and missing a few beads. France, early 19th century. Two similar models are on display at the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris (Paris Fashion Museum).
