Pair Of Louis XVI Period Gilt Bronze Wall Sconces
Pair of Louis XVI period gilt and chased bronze wall sconces. Finely chased, original gilding. Each sconces has three light arms adorned with papier-mâché sleeves. The fluted, reeded stem is decorated with laurel garlands and surmounted by a fire-pot urn. The arms feature acanthus leaf motifs, water-leaf candle holders, and cups with twisted fluting and heart-shaped moldings. Rewired to current standards. Very good condition.
