Part Of A Table Service With "mistletoe" Design By Edmond Lachenal, Keller And Guerin
Part of a dinner service known as the "mistletoe" pattern by Edmond Lachenal and the Keller and Guerin potteries.
The "mistletoe" pattern, designed by Edmond Lachenal (1855-1930), features a stylized mistletoe design in shades of pale green and mauve.
This service was produced from 1900 onwards for subscribers of the magazine Les Annales politiques et artistiques. Production ceased in 1914 after a fire destroyed the workshops.
Similar pieces are held at the Musée d'Orsay.
The service comprises:
15 dinner plates (25.7 cm diameter),
2 platters (25.7 cm diameter),
1 cake plate (24 cm diameter),
and 1 large platter (35 cm diameter).
In very good condition, with some minor discoloration, mainly on the large platter.
