Pair of pewter candlesticks with buttoned and shaped feet, flared stems, and molded sockets, decorated with two gadrooned friezes.
Hallmarks:
1° - Control mark: crowned F / 75 / R. (R for ROUEN and F for FINE)
2° - Mark of Charles Boissel, received as a master around 1754: crowned hammer / CBS.
Height: 24 cm.
ROUEN, of the year 1775.

In good condition, some oxidation spots are noted and visible in the photographs, as well as a localized crack that has been repaired on one of the feet.
In Rouen, unlike in many other centers of the kingdom, the regulations were fairly well respected, and the hallmarks were updated almost every year. The 1776 date mark is recorded and allows for precise dating.
